The industrial safety program on the topic is intended for technical specialists, employees and managers employed in steelmaking enterprises. The course is based on current regulatory requirements and best practices in the field of safety in steel mills.

Course objectives:

- To acquaint students with the main dangers associated with steelmaking and methods of their prevention;

- Provide knowledge about modern technologies and equipment used in steelmaking processes and safety measures when working with them;

- To master the skills of risk assessment and the development of measures to prevent accidents and occupational diseases;

- Training in the effective use of personal and collective protective equipment in steelmaking;

- To familiarize students with the current legislation in the field of industrial safety and the requirements of standards for steelmaking enterprises.

Course content:

1. Introduction to steelmaking: basic processes, equipment used and safety risks.
2. Legislation and regulatory requirements: an overview of the current rules and regulations related to safety in steelmaking.
3. Hazardous and harmful factors in steel mills: identification and classification of possible hazards.
4. Risk assessment and management: methods of risk assessment and management in steelmaking.
5. Measures to prevent accidents and occupational diseases: effective practices and techniques for accident prevention.
6. Personal and collective protective equipment: proper use and selection of protective equipment in steelmaking.
