G.2.1. Operation of thermal power plants

G.2.1.
The industrial safety program is aimed at training and advanced training of specialists working in the field of operation of thermal power plants. As part of the study, special attention is paid to mastering the skills of optimizing the operation of the plant in order to increase its productivity and energy efficiency.

The program also begins with the study of the basic principles of operation of thermal power plants, including concepts and tasks related to the organization of safety at the enterprise. Students will learn about the rules and regulatory requirements regarding the safety of personnel and equipment at the station, as well as methods of ensuring safety during work.

Next, the course covers the topic of optimizing the operation of a thermal power plant. Students learn to analyze plant workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity and energy efficiency. Within the framework of this module, methods for optimizing fuel consumption, increasing heat transfer efficiency, improving the operation of the cooling system and other aspects affecting the operation of the station are studied.

At the end of the course, students receive the necessary knowledge and skills to analyze the current operation of a thermal power plant and develop measures to optimize its operation in order to increase productivity and energy efficiency. They also master methods for monitoring and maintaining the safety of the plant and equipment.
